I was pleased to share my story as part of Mental Health Awareness month with the Lifeforce Yoga Healing Institute, to help break the stigma for which there is still heaps of! Blog to come later in the year.
After living in the same city my whole life, another city is calling my name. With great excitement I announce that I'm relocating to Melbourne's South East in August.
I feel complete gratitude for the opportunities that I've had here in 5 years of working in the wellness world as they've all taught me a great deal and helped me grow as a person and instructor.
I've lost count of how many classes I've taught as at one stage I was teaching over 20 a week for about 18 months. I've taught at many places during this time in both gyms and studios such as Balanced Yoga Kingston; Power Yoga Canberra; Embrace Pilates and Fitness; Fernwood Gungahlin, Next Gen Canberra, Lucas Studios, Canberra Yoga Space, Yoga Centricity, Fernwood Belconnen, Fernwood Canberra City, Team Fitness Dickson, Tidy Temple Yoga, Curves Belconnen and I'm sure there's more I've forgotten!
I've lost count of the amount of formal hours of Yoga Teacher Training I've completed in the 5 years, but I can't wait to do more training in yoga, Pilates and fitness as you never stop learning!
Thank you Canberra and I can't wait to see what Melbourne will offer me and what I can offer Melbourne!
'Honor the beginning. They can start almost invisibly or arrive with a big bang. Beginnings hold the promise of new lessons to be learned, new territory to be explored and old lessons to be recalled, practiced and appreciated. Don't let the lessons, the experiences of the past, dampen your enthusiasm for beginnings. Open yourself wide to all that the universe has to say. Let yourself begin anew. Take along some humility and the lessons of the past. A new journey has begun. Let it be magical. Let it unfold.
All parts of the journey are sacred and holy. Take time now to honor the beginning.'
