My first LifeForce Yoga Class
On Saturday 25 th November I conducted my first LifeForce Yoga class, which was very exciting! I’m very grateful to my colleague and friend, Sue McShane who allowed me to run this class at her
beautiful studio Balanced Yoga Kingston and it also raised money for a noteworthy cause, Frontline Yoga inc. It was great experience for Part C of my level 1 certification with LifeForce Yoga which I am currently being mentored in.
LifeForce Yoga was developed by Amy Weintraub who is the author of Yoga for Depression and Yoga Skills for Therapists – Effective Practices for Mood Management and is intentionally designed to work with and manage the mood. Amy has been a pioneer in spreading the world with ways of using yoga to treat depression, anxiety, insomnia, Bipolar and trauma.
I am so grateful I was able to meet her in May 2017 on her very first visit to Australia and complete the Module A of the Level 1 LifeForce Yoga training. It has been instrumental in improving my overall mental health and is now part of my daily yoga practice.
After the class, I received great feedback from my students verbally and in their anonymous
feedback questionnaires. I’m looking forward to teaching many more LifeForce Yoga classes in the future here in Melbourne and interstate.
I’m also planning on going over to the USA to complete my Level 1 training next year.
